By the end of Day 2 the footfall almost hit 19,000 and Day 3 had the highest turnout with 29,000 visitors. The Great NE Momo festival had indeed become the hot spot of Guwahati over the weekend, taking an encouraging turn beyond people’s expectations. Most stalls had to make at least 4 new batches of Momos to feed the hungry and inquisitive crowd. It was also amazing to see the demand for cheese and chocolate momos at par with the quintessential pork and chicken momos. The last two days had youngsters, families, families, couples, and everyone else flocking to the venue. People swayed to the music, clicked with Mocho, participated in various activities or just lounged around.
The organisers are thankful to the people for their constant supplies of large number of flood relief items for the flood victims.
