The 3rd edition of Rongali, organized by Trend MMS, starts in Guwahati today. To promote tourism and with an aim to attract thousands of visitors from across the country, the three main themes of this 3-day festival are Destination, Culture and Harmony.
Destination aims to promote tourism of the Northeast region, Assam in particular; Culture will showcase various cultures, tribes and communities of Assam through numerous art forms and Harmony will present the unity in diversity of the state.
The festival has some of the best musical performances lined up – Joi Barua, Alobo Naga and DJs Nuclyea, Parikrama, Euphoria, Ash King, Teri Miko, and Zaeden will be performing.
Rongali is a common platform for various tribes of Assam, as it allows them to educate people about their ethnic foods, handicrafts, handlooms, traditional sports, etc. through stalls and activities.
Besides this, there are fashion shows, aero sports, watersports, et al.
