What:
The city got a new multicuisine restaurant Nirvana, a fine-dining place in the heart of the city, which serves an extensive South Indian menu, along with North Indian and Oriental dishes. The launch was attended by a few of the city’s who’s who, coming together for an evening of delectable food, paired with great company and a soothing musical performance.
The highlight of the evening was the definitely the food, which left most visitors pleasantly surprised when they were served Chicken Dosa–a unique and new entry in this part of the country. The staff is well-trained and courteous, taking care of the guests and conversing actively throughout. Nirvana will soon open its bar with an impressive menu of drinks for both cocktail and mock tail lovers.

Why:
The owner, Mr. Gopalan Venkatachalam, an engineer from Chennai dreamt of this project with an aim to serve the people of Assam with authentic Indian recipes and cuisines. He says, “Good food is that elixir of life that makes everything around so blissful and brightens our mood. We at Nirvana are focussed on serving you with the best of everything and look forward to making your time with us a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Hence, the name Nirvana.”
