If you are an avid traveller, and take pride in your trips and discoveries – Northeast India (NE) should definitely be next in your itinerary. It is the land of a glorious and rich past with flourishing civilizations, kingdoms and dynasties. It is blessed with unmatched natural beauty and resources, and the most hospitable people – who are simple, yet deeply rooted in their cultural heritage and traditions.
Connected to the rest of the country by a narrow stretch of land called “Siliguri corridor” or “Chicken’s neck”, this awe-inspiring land is commonly and lovingly referred to as the “seven sisters”—comprising Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh, with Sikkim joining them as the eighth state and their brother.
