We love food, but what’s making us jump in joy is the fact that Guwahati has some kickass food trucks. So, here are the top-three of those that are making people in the city go wild.
This food truck in Chandmari, right in front of the All India Radio Station, serves up an amazing menu in open air and good music playing in background. This truck…errr bus! Yes, it is built inside a bus and has an impressive menu, which includes Chinese, North Indian, Tibetan, Fast Food, et al. With rolls starting at just Rs. 40 and a plate of noodles at Rs 50, it is an absolute hit among youngsters. The squad is always generous with your demand for extra cheese. We definitely recommend you to head to this place one of these days.
Rated as the second-best food truck by Red FM, Naamdang was opened by Pallabi Borah and Subhala Deka in October 2015. Parked near Cotton College, what’s unique about this food truck is that the menu keeps changing and upgrading as per season, demand of people and also time of the day. Needless to say, it is pocket friendly. From parathas right off the hot grill to its best-sellers chicken and egg Maggie, this joint has its own fan base. It also serves fresh juices.
Springs Foodies Point
Right under the Gulmohar tree near Cotton College is the Springs Foodies Point truck, which is run by the parent restaurant in Lachit Nagar. Managed by two very friendly ‘dadas’, it serves Asian and continental fast food. Momos, chowmein, burgers, cheese sandwiches and cheese hot dogs are quite popular with the crowd.
We want more such food trucks in Guwahati and other top cities in the Northeast. We know that there are many, so do post a comment if you think we should include some more names.
